One thousand years ago, the Dark Kingdom attacked the Moon Kingdom, even though they destroyed it they couldn't prevent Queen Serenity from using the Ginzuishou and trapping Metallia and her minions. Queen Metallia (known as the "Negaforce" in the DiC version) was the ruler of the Dark Kingdom, but had been imprisoned. It was up to her right-hand man (er... woman) Queen Beryl and her followers to release Metallia. To do that, they needed to gather as much energy from humans on Earth. Later, they found that if they could get the seven Nijizuishou (Rainbow Crystals) it would make the Ginzuishou (Silver Crystal), and then that would be enough to release their ruler.
 Jedite
His main mission is to steal energy of great amounts from humans. By using monsters to do his dirty work, Sailor Moon, Mercury, and Mars, spoiled his plans. He became really determined to destroy the scouts, and learned their identities in the process, but despite to many failures and disappointments to Queen Beryl, He was vanished. He was also present during the invasion of the Moon Kingdom  Malachite
Malachite is the oldest and most powerful of the 4 Generals. He is the last one as well. His first mission was to aid Zoicite, his lover/boyfriend (yes Zoicite is a man, but in America they were uptight so the made him a woman, pretty stupid), in getting the Rainbow Crystals. After Zoisite was killed, Malachite was devastated. He was put in charge of training Prince Darien and getting the
Emperial Silver Crystal from Sailor Moon. Malachite hated Prince Darien and was very bitter towards him. Malachite died in a cave when he
faced the Sailor Scouts. He beat all the Scouts, but Sailor Moon was still able to fight. Malachite sent one of his energy boomerangs at Sailor
Moon, but she reflected it back at him. The boomerang hit Malachite right in the chest. As he died he looked up and yelled (Something like this)
"Zoisite, I'm coming to join you!"
 Zoicite
The third of Queen Beryl's generals, His main mission was to steal and retrive seven rainbow crystals that housed the seven shadow warriors whom Queen Serenity trapped during the battle in the Moon Kingdom.He showed a lot of promise retriving four rainbow crystals and one of Sailor Moon's as well.He would later confort Tuxedo Mask on challenging him to a winner take all duel, he succeeded with Malachite on his side in stealing the crystals, but his actions such as the attempt on killing Tuxedo Mask was proved to be fatal when Queen Beryl learned of this, He was vanished and executed.
 Neflite
The second of Queen Beryl's generals, his main mission was to steal energy from one person to complete the Negaverse's energy peak. He fell out of favor when the scouts defeated most of his monsters, and failing to destroy Sailor Moon and the Scouts. During his failures, he was getting a bit soft, he fell in love with Serena's friend Molly, On one of the Episodes, he rescued Molly, whom Zoicite's company abducted to trap Neflite. The purpose of this was to let Neflite surrender his dark crystal, the dark crystal is one of the key's for the negaverse to find the seven rainbow crystals.Zoicite's trap failed, Neflite was a magnificent warrior, he put up a good fight, he lost his evil side in falling in love with Molly, as soon as he let his guard down, Zoicite's assasins stabbed him and that was the end of Neflite
