from SailorMoon R Alan and Anne These two aliens appear in the beggining of SailorMoon R. They arrive on Earth with the Doom Tree and assume human forms. Monster of the day: Cardian Rubeus Rubeus was originally in charge of the mission to capture the "Rabbit" Chibi Usa. The 4 sisters were all under Rubeus, and they reported to him and carried out his orders. Rubeus was downright evil and manipulative. He sent the four sisters to do the work but planned on getting all the credit for himself if they were successful. He deployed them to potentially dangerous situations with the thought that they were expendable. Rubeus would then claim the fruits of their labor if they died. Rubeus knew that Catsy was in love him. He used Catsy's feelings for him to control her, but he broke her heart in the end by telling her he did not do "stupid things like loving somebody...". Rubeus was able to capture the sailor soldiers and use them as bait for Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon and her group managed to escape Rubeus' exploding UFO, but Rubeus was left there by Emerald to die because of his failure.
![catsy.jpg](https://darkmoonfamily.tripod.com//sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/catsy.jpg) Catsy,Birdie,Prisma,Avery Catsy is the youngest of the sisters. Her attack is dark fire. Birdie is the third oldest of the sisters. Her attack is dark water. Avery is the second oldest of the sisters. Her attack is dark love. Prisma is the oldest of the sisters. Her attack is dark thunder. ![Emerald](https://darkmoonfamily.tripod.com//sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/emerald.jpg) Emerald Now, HERE'S a villainess. I don't care what people say... I liked Emerald. She was of course, a member of the Black Moon Family. She was absolutely in love with herself as well as with Prince Diamond, but he never noticed her, for he was too busy lusting over Sailor Moon. She took over for Rubeus when he failed for the last time... no thanks to her, when he asked for her help she opted to abandon him instead. Emerald's job was to capture Chibi-usa (or Small Lady) and try to open the Black Gate. To do this she would place these crystal-like figures that looked a lot like her doing some sort of pose with that red fan she liked to carry around all the time. I really don't know what to call Emerald's power, I do know that she summoned up a lot of droids to do her dirty work for her. Like her Black Moon Family co-horts, she used her earing to detect if a certain area had Dark Energy (or Negative points), then she would place her little crystal-Emerald (if you will) there to absorb all the energy. I have to admit, she did a pretty good job knocking people out with some cool energy from her hands, you know, the usual lightening bolt-thingys coming from their palms. She did go to Earth on occation in a disquise. Her jealousy over Diamond's infatuation for Sailor Moon made her go to the Wiseman for help on how to win Diamond's respect and love, he tricked her and "turned" her into a dragon. While a dragon, Sailor Moon destroys her and Emerald eventually bites the dust. Her last cry is Diamond's name, and even though he hears her he just blows it off.
![Sapphire](https://darkmoonfamily.tripod.com//sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/sapphire.jpg) Saphire Prince Saphire was the younger brother of Prince Diamond. Apparently it's no mistake that he looks almost exactly like Mamoru... but in the DiC episodes they don't get into the subject of their similar looks, I have no idea if they do in the Japanese episodes. I find it kind of strange that they made him look so much like Tuxedo-Dork, if they weren't going to mention it at least once. I admit, Saphire is not one of my more favorite villains, but I understand why he's popular (although from what I've seen, not as popular as big brother ^__^) Saphire was the one that designed and made all those crystal figures that Emerald used in her missions. Other than that, he didn't really do anything except argue with Emerald and Diamond. He was also the first one to discover that the Wiseman was plotting against the Black Moon Family instead of working with them. He always seemed to be around to listen in on other peoples conversations. Diamond would never believe his brother whenever he would tell him about his suspicions. When Saphire confronted the Wiseman, the Wiseman took the opportunity to try and get rid of Saphire who was making himself to be quite the pest. Sapphiro, now badly injured get's himself to Earth. The Sisters find him and take care of him, it was at this time that we discovered that he and Prisma used to be an item. He convinces the sisters to let him go back to his brother to save him. But when he tries to go back his brother appears on Earth, and just when it looks like he had convinced Diamond that the Wiseman was infact their enemy and not their friend, the Wiseman kills Saphire infront of Diamond.
![PrinceDiamond](https://darkmoonfamily.tripod.com//sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/diamond.jpg) Prince Diamond Prince Diamond is the ruler of the Black Moon Family, and if he has his way, the ruler of Earth too (without all the pesky humans on it). He is the older brother of Prince Saphire. The two brothers were close when they were children but through the years, the Wiseman used Diamond and corrupted his mind which definately put a damper on the two's relationship. It took Saphire's death to really wake Diamond up, but of course by that time, it was too late. One of his biggest weaknesses was his obsession for Neo-Queen Serenity, which ends up being his downfall. Diamond however was completely clueless when it came to Emerald's adoration for him... maybe he was too busy trying to take over the world to notice. He eventually dies when he saves Sailor Moon (knowing she's Neo-Queen Serenity) from The Wiseman. I thought he was pretty cool, but he didn't really do much. One thing for sure though, is that I love his look. The icy-cool look, he has a good psycho-stare, and his voice is great.
![BlackLady](https://darkmoonfamily.tripod.com//sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/blacklady.jpg) Black Lady The Black Lady or Wicked Lady is the product of the Wiseman's brainwashing of Chibi-Usa. After realizing that Chibi-usa had useful power, he decided that she would be a great help on the Black Moon's side. He lured her in by convincing her that she was never loved and that she was all alone. When her anger reached it's peak he transformed her into a bitter, angry adult version of herself. Now as Black Lady, she will do anything to destroy the senshi especially mommy Moon. Eventually the Senshi convince her that her mind had been corrupted by the Wiseman and that he twisted her thoughts and memories. When she finally beleives them, all the evil goes out of her and she returns to her normal annoying self. With that, she joins her powers with Sailor Moon and the two destroy the Wiseman together.
![Wiseman](https://darkmoonfamily.tripod.com//sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/wiseman.jpg) Wise Man The Wiseman was the real mastermind behind the Black Moon family. Often seen waving his hands over a crystal ball, he gave advice or orders if you will, to the others. Although he seemed to be helping Prince Diamond, he had other plans unknown to the young Prince. The Wiseman's real mission was to help his master the Death Phantom (DiC = Doom Phantom) to arise and turn the world into darkness. The Wiseman was very manipulative. He managed to convice Diamond that his own brother Saphire, betrayed him and fled to Earth with the key to the Black Crystal. He failed to mention that Saphire ended up on Earth after escaping Wiseman's wrath when he overheard him talking about the Death Phantom and his plans. When others found out about his plans like, Saphire, or if they just got in his way like, Emerald, he simply had them killed off. It didn't take long before he offted all of them including Diamond. Leaving the Wiseman to fight the senshi himself. With the combined power of both Sailor Moon and the newly good-again Chibi-usa, he was defeated.
